Above Average Averages

Puddles. Reflections. Mirrored images that lead us all to see things easily ignored from a different perspective, such as ourselves.
There is time, there is effort, and there is time spent giving effort. I prefer to use the Oxford comma. It makes me feel like there is better separation between things that, rightfully so, need differentiation.
The mindless meanderings of a lunatic can sometimes still be the most insightful things you have heard all day. Even a broken clock is right twice a day - or once, if it is somehow set to military time. And yet, I feel like a lunatic that perceives the world so differently that I am seldom right. Yet, fools still come to me for advice as though I am somehow wiser than they are. I am not. I am just as lost as the opening of this blog post.
Which brings me back to the puddles, and the reflections. Stare at yourself long enough and the recognition gets lost. As lost as we all are to begin with, and anyone who claims to have it all figured out is even more lost than those of us who know otherwise.
A genius can be a genius, but if you tell a genius they are a genius then they start making poor choices as their over confidence gives way to less questioning of their own actions. Its a weird world we live in, mainly brought about by how simplistic the human intellect is in nature. We are all susceptible to the same things - it is why the religious zealot who began preaching to have power over others believes their own speeches. A vicious cycle of wanting to preach to others so they can all unify their perspective, giving the power to the one in front of the crowd, and then the speaker using their own propaganda to propel their own over confident belief structure. There is a reason religion is as traumatizing as it is, and it is because it revolves around ego - either enhancing or reducing it. And no matter which direction it goes, it takes the individual further away from reality.
But alas, the perpetuating of designated beliefs are so rampant that it extends to politics and jobs and nationalism. I didn't utilize any commas there, which made the sentence an improper sentence, and yet my point is still adequately made. Humans adapt in that way, but I hope that the sentence gave way to a mild discomfort while reading it. It is how we utilize language and writing to invoke emotions; however, I have no desire to propagandize any of my beliefs with the emotional response.
Well, other than to make you more aware, dear reader, of the concerted efforts that truly reading may bring. Like listening to the nuances of a song, the composition of words can be an art form in and of itself.
But back to the mirrors - as humans, we need to stare into the puddles, into the mirrors more frequently. We need to see ourselves for who we are. Unfortunately, most humans busy themselves too often to adequately put forth the time to see themselves with that unrecognized cognition. And thusly, we continue on being blissfully unaware of the consequences of our own inadequacies - from which, we truly do become average people doing above average things without the shocking revelation that we are, strictly speaking, all a part of that average.
That is enough meandering thoughts for one day, so dear readers of mine, enjoy yourselves until next time and, as well, embrace the averageness of the above average things in which you find yourselves doing.
